New Chapter... Hoping for the best, Preparing for the worst

Life has truly been good to me. As I embark on a new journey into "adulthood" I can only hope that life gets better.

I moved out of my apartment about a week ago. As my brother and I drove back to Long Island, I got a glimpse of my former university and nostalgia came over me. I began to reminisce on the good times that I had there. All the laughs, the lovers, the parties.

The first two years of college were the best! I was young and just looking for a ton of fun! People hadn't showed their true colors yet so to me, everyone was cool.

Sometimes I'm glad its all over and other times I wish I could do it all again. I don't think I'd change a thing. My college experience taught me things that the books couldn't.

I learned what "keeping it real" really was about. I learned that just because a guy likes you, that doesn't mean you're the only one he likes, if you know what I mean. I learned how to survive on $10 for the week. I learned how to get an A without even trying. I learned how to hustle, how to dance, how to cuss (lol), how to speak up, how to keep quiet.... I learned so much!

Now its time for me to take everything I learned inside and outside of the classroom and put it to use in my future life.

A part of me is very excited. Another part of me is scared to death!
